This infographic looks at how the average cost of 1GB of mobile data compares to the price of a loaf of fresh white bread (500g). It shows that in 39 countries, 1GB of data costs more than a loaf of bread. Tunisia stands out, where 1GB of data is as expensive as 8 loaves, or 4 kilograms, of bread.

 

Working on projects for Visual Capitalist taught me how to adapt to their established visual style. I learned to adjust my own design preferences to fit their editorial vision.

 

To create this visualization comparing mobile data costs in different countries, I used Tableau for data processing and Affinity Designer for the final layout and styling.

 

The design is straightforward, but it follows Visual Capitalist’s style by highlighting each country for a more personal touch. The bright green and brick colors add energy while keeping the information clear and easy to read.
