Coming soon: My First Book on the Process Behind 50 Storytelling Pieces

Coming out soon

What If You Didn’t Have to Choose Just One Box?

We’re often told to fit into categories—creative or analytical, structured or spontaneous. But real innovation happens when we blur these lines. This book is a personal journey through 50 of my data visualization projects across different domains. It explores challenges, and experiences in navigating multiple roles with which you might also be familiar — Designer, Storyteller, Developer, Entrepreneur, and Teacher.

Charting Stories – The process behind 50 data storytelling pieces” is not a manual or a portfolio — it’s an honest reflection on the creative process, the struggles of balancing different skills, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.

Whether you’re just starting out in the world of data visualization or you’re a seasoned professional and need some inspiration, I hope the stories, case studies and tips I share will help you chart your path to clearer, more compelling stories in data.

About me & how I got to writing this book

I’m an information designer diven by curiosity and a passion for clarity, with almost two decades of experience transforming complex data into clear, compelling visual stories that inform, engage, and inspire action. My journey from journalism, where I unraveled intricate narratives, to PR where I learned to craft resonant messages,  led me seven years ago to found Egas Studio and specialize in tailored data solutions. I combine rigorous analysis with storytelling to create visuals that connect data with people.

Beyond creating visualizations, I also teach and train professionals on how to work with data, craft compelling narratives, and design impactful visuals. Whether it’s through workshops, courses, or consulting, I help teams and individuals build the skills they need to make sense of their data and communicate it effectively.

What’s Inside the book
